A game of a girl called Jess - New Forest's centre forward who had her hand in a number of the seven goals scored today.
Being really, really honest as a result of Lisa Reddan receiving a broken leg from 'a clumsy late challenge (referee's words) the day was marred and the players were clearly affected to what they had just witnessed.
Hayling started REALLY REALLY slowly and it didn't really proceed to be much better. A considerable hold up waiting for the Ambulance saw Hayling get a goal back from a great 'ROCKET' strike from Lisa Shadbolt.
This took us to 2-1 - Lisa Egerton twisted her knee and another reshuffle made it clear that SUBSTITUTES have a key role to play in the team as Hazel and Andi took their positions on the pitch.
New Forest's number 10 continued to cause problems and more and more goals were scored.
From a team perspective EVERYBODY tried to dig in BUT with your mind elsewhere it is always going to be difficult.
Today being a 'BAD day at the office' should be relegated to where it should be - the bin as a distant memory.
The referee offered very little protection to players and to me it was a little suprise that there wasn't more injuries throughout - NOT my idea of competitive football for sure! ! !
We hope Lisa is ok and wish her a speedy recovery.
The coaches named LISA SHADBOLT & SAM BOND as players of the match.
